Matthew is the CEO and Portfolio Manager (AR) of W.A. Robinson Asset Management Ltd. and holds the Advising Representative designation with the Ontario Securities Commission.
Matthew is a Chartered Investment Manager and an expert on real estate in Ontario with over 20 years experience in the management of a mortgage investment corporation and in mortgage lending and administration, having obtained both his Real Estate Broker licence and his Mortgage Broker designation over two decades ago.
As CEO and Portfolio Manager, Matthew provides vision and leadership to his team to care for the operations of Frontenac Mortgage Investment Corporation while being responsible for the strategic direction of W.A Robinson Asset Management Ltd. and Pillar Financial.
Kevin Cruickshank, CPA, CA is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kevin graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) with Distinction in 1990 and was admitted to the membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1993.
After having worked for five years as a Chartered Accountant with Wilkinson & Company LLP in Belleville, Ontario, Kevin spent the next five years as the Vice-President of Finance for the Cooney Transport Group of Companies where he oversaw the financial affairs of a group of 19 companies involved in international trucking operations with a real estate network of seven terminals located in Ontario and Quebec.
In 2000, Kevin was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Hanley Group of Companies, also in Belleville, Ontario, where he oversaw the financial affairs of several companies involved in quick food service operations and managed an investment company.
Having always wanted to own his own business, he became a partner in The Loon’s Call Campground & Cottage Resort, a seasonal resort operation located in Cloyne, Ontario.
After leaving the Hanley Group of Companies in 2004, Kevin continued his accounting practice, assisting clients with business planning and financial matters in addition to providing traditional accounting and taxation services until June 2012 when he joined W.A. Robinson Asset Management as its full-time CFO. He also holds the CCO (Chief Compliance Officer) title.
Debra manages the Investment Services Department and is the main touch point for our Advisor partners.
Debra is also responsible for our discretionary portfolio and group portfolio clients who have been with us from the early days of operations.
Debra, a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM ®), has been with the company since 2002 and has experience in corporate accounting, personal finance, and income tax preparation within W.A. Robinson Asset Management Ltd. as well as investment and management experience.
In addition to obtaining her CIM designation, Debra has completed several finance, tax and accounting courses through St. Lawrence College and the Certified General Accountants (CGA) program.
Actively involved in her community, Debra was a Scout Leader for 15 years, coached baseball for 10 years and was the Treasurer and Entertainment Chair for the Parham Agricultural Society.
Phillip manages the mortgage administration and systems of the group of companies.
By integrating his management skills with IT, Phillip is able to incorporate technological efficiencies to meet and exceed management’s goals on an annual basis. He liaises with the CEO and CFO to keep abreast of any changes in funding targets and amendments to the risk profile of the Fund throughout the year, and communicates his findings to the teams he manages.
Phillip has a three-year diploma from St. Lawrence College in Business Administration/Information Systems, has been a licensed realtor since 2003 and is a licensed mortgage broker.
After graduating, Phillip started with Lake District Realty in Sharbot Lake as the Office Manager. He moved to Pillar in 2005 at which time he ran a one-man show, helming the Administration Department. As the department grew, he took on a supervisory role; now managing the team that he put in place.
He is currently serving his second term in a council position with the township of Central Frontenac and sits on the planning committee. Phillip has been the treasurer for the Parham Agricultural Society and sat on the Hinchinbrooke Recreation Committee.
Founder of W.A. Robinson Asset Management Ltd., Wayne has over 30 years of experience in financial planning, construction, real estate, business acquisition, business development, mortgage lending, and more specifically in Mortgage Investment Corporations.
Wayne also founded the mortgage brokerage and administration firm known as Pillar Financial Services Inc., 27 years ago, which now lends and underwrites the mortgages these funds invest in. Designations include: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Registered Financial Planner (R.F.P), Certified Investment Manager (CIM), Certified in Real Estate Finance (CRF), and holder of a BA(Sc) from Queens University.
By developing one of the first MICs offered by prospectus in the country, Wayne has had a considerable impact on arguably one of the most emergent fixed-income products available today. His leadership, rational thinking, prudent underwriting and overall knowledge in the industry enabled him to create a one of a kind investing opportunity in Canada that is unmatched by today’s standards and ever increasing regulation.
Wayne was the owner and CEO of a petroleum company for 6 years and spent 6 years as a Director of the Eastern Ontario Development Corporation, an Ontario Crown Corporation, providing loans to developing and expanding businesses.
He was a CFA exam marker for 10 years for the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners and Executive Director of North Frontenac Community Services where he took part in social, health and community planning.
Robert has been the Director of Managed Services at EllisDon since 2011.
He was Director of the Pre-Amalgamation Fund since 2005.

Owner of Environmentall Contracting Services since 2010; Director of the PreAmalgamation Fund since 2007; Senior Project Manager with City of Kingston 2009; Senior Project Manager – Planning, Kingston General Hospital 2003-2009. Eric has been an investor since 2007 and is chair of the audit committee.
Retired teacher, artist, owner and manager of farming and real property rental operations since the 1970s; Director of the Pre-Amalgamation Fund since 2005. Margaret has been an investor for over 10 years.
Retired teacher of business and economics. Director of Mortgage Investment Corporation of Eastern Ontario from 2002 until amalgamation. Sheldon has been an investor for over 10 years.
