Adjusted Operations Amid New COVID-19 Restrictions

Blog-Date-1Jan 14, 2021

The Ontario government announced new COVID-19 restrictions on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. In light of these measures, we would like to share an update about how Pillar will be affected.

  • We continue to receive and review applications for all types of mortgages, including construction, rural residential, refinancing, and self-employed. While the new government restrictions may lead to delays in permits and closing, our team remains committed to working with mortgage brokers and borrowers to minimize any disruption.
  • Our mortgage operations will continue largely uninterrupted during this period with our team working from home. Thanks to a robust business continuity plan and thoughtful preparations, our team is well-equipped to remain engaged and effective while working remotely.
  • The Pillar office in Sharbot Lake will remain closed to visitors while the new COVID-19 restrictions are in place. The restrictions are currently scheduled to remain in effect from January 14 to February 11, 2021.
  • Our normal communication channels remain open. Our clients and other stakeholders can continue to reach us as usual by phone and email.

We hope these new restrictions and the ongoing rollout of vaccines will help to bring the pandemic to a swift end. In the meantime, we will continue to follow all local health guidelines with the health of our team and clients as our top priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
